Room for baby Coleman...

Lately I spend a lot of my days dreaming up ideas for our babies room to be.  Actually all day and night to be exact.  I absolutely love white, grays and neutral for the furniture and paint.  When we find out what this bundle of joy is we can add more personal touches to the room by adding fun pops of color and different textures to the room.  I’m not a  fan of matching furniture or all matching sets of stuff so these combos are dreamy to me. 

P.S  How darling was Roger as a little guy! That hair is to die for…I CAN’T WAIT!!!

24 Weeks and counting

The most beautiful Photos I’ve ever seen.  I feel so lucky, excited, scared, overwhelmed and grateful for this little bundle of Love.

Kim is going to be the best mom because she has so much love to give… she always smiles no matter how bad her day was, and she always hugs and kisses me every time I get home.  I can’t imagine a better partner in life than her.  Our baby will be fortunate enough to have a mother that always sees the glass half full.

Back from the Jungle and 7 months later

 Rog and I have only been married a short time now and I can’t believe how fast it’s gone by.  It feels like it was just yesterday I was getting to know him over IM, emails, text messages and good old FB – Facebook.  I must admit marriage life has been pretty amazing so far.  It has had its challenges at times, but the best challenges a girl could ask for!  I’ve learned a lot of interesting things about my husband and myself and how marriage does change you a bit but totally for the better.  I don’t mean to sound cheesy but I thought my life was pretty amazing before I met Roger.  But now looking back I see how much I was actually lacking without him in it.  I’m so grateful I met Roger when I did… I was a little lost at that point in my life and I like to think he saved me.  It was fate... destiny/fate an event (or a course of events) that will inevitably happen in the future, the ultimate agency regarded as predetermining the course of events...  He was like an angel sent to me to make me laugh and see how much life really has to offer.  I never thought I could love someone so much until I met Roger.  I’m definitely not an expert in love or marriage but I thought I’d share a few thoughts/tips J that have helped me and might bring a smile to someone’s face.  Hopefully to my wonderful husband and BFF– Roger G. Coleman III.  Booyaa!!

1.     Always get up and feed the girls (dogs) on Saturdays and Sundays and especially on his days off!   If not - husby will not be very happy or quite when he jumps back in bed.

2.    Laughter is the best medicine.  We are pretty silly people in general but it’s nice to be able to get upset or argue about something and 20 mins later we both usually realize how unimportant the topic of our fight was… usually it’s me that always gives in.  Roger is defiantly the stubborn one in the marriage J right honey!!  We have the best laugh attacks I must say – especially when he makes me cry laughing so hard.  Which happens a lot.

3.    You don’t always have to be right… and is there REALLY a right or wrong answer?? We agree to disagree at times and that’s just fine.  At times I have to remember we are different people and together we are so much stronger than apart - Team Coleman  for life.  Roger doesn’t have a “wrong” way of doing laundry he just has a different way at doing it than I do.  Or I it’s not “wrong” for me to always leave the faucet on spray rather than the other way.

4.    It’s OK to be the first to say I'm sorry.

5.    Always allow silly time even when someone is mad.   Life is too short to hold on to things.

6.    To make each other a priority and it’s okay to make yourself a priority at times too.  Thursday nights poker night, boxing, the gym or dinner with friends is healthy.  In the end it makes us appreciate and love each other more.

7.    Having patience with each other... I’m sure Rog is laughing at this because sometimes I have the worst ADD.  Epically when I’m telling a story – wow I am bad I will admit it – but I can tell he really is trying.  Now he just rolls his eyes rather then gets upset.  I am trying to work on my storytelling too.  Stay focused and on point!

8.    Never be low on fuel or leave a car on empty.  OK- he hasn’t 100% realized this yet with me but I’m hoping this post will help .

9.    Always appreciate each other… even the little things.  I know Rog appreciates every meal I prepare – even when it taste like hell and I like to think that’s only happen once!  I appreciate every time he starts my car before work, scrapes my windows, or leaves me a love note just saying hi –the best notes are the ones when he leaves a funny picture! Can’t share those on the blog!

 

 

Honeymoon in the Bahamas! Kim mistook island fever for jungle fever and I almost lost her!!

So after our insanely awesome wedding we were wisked away to the beautiul island of the Bahamas! Good thing we had to catch the 8:00am flight the morning after our wedding... It was just the right time for Roger to not get over his hangover and to leave his wallet at home or the entirety of the trip. We had a fun filled first day that consisted of connecting flights and sitting next to utter renobs. On our connecting flight from Miami to Nassau was no other than Kim Kardashian. Kim Coleman just about had a panic attack and could not stop staring at her. Kim Kardashian however, could not stop looking at Roger so I guess it was even Steven. We spent the days on the beach drinking Margaritas, Pina Coladas, and any other girlie drink that we could possibly pour down our throats. The hotel was awesome, and the food and drinks even better. On our second day on the island we decided to take the number 10 bus downtown. This was no ordinary bus though! The subwoofers in the back just about made us deaf from the Bob Marley playing at the loudest setting, the native Bahamian woman with armpit hair that had a staring problem was even better. I couldn't tell if she wanted to make out with Kim or flat out stab me in the face. The number 10 bus also did not have the need to use the public roads. When we approached a traffic jam on a two lane highway it resulted in our driver taking a hard left into a grassy, mud filled field. The apparently was business as usual, but Kim and I thought we would end up falling into one one of the 2000 puddles that looked to be at least 30 feet deep. After the field romp, the driver stopped at the local gas station for a 10 minute break while we sat on the stinky, hotter than hell bus.  Downtown was a lot of fun, and somewhat irritating because every islander wanted to sell us a fake rolex watch or cuban cigars. After returning to our hotel we were able to watch the NBA finals on a HD projecter on the beach, have a few more drinks, and eventually go back to our room to clean sand out of every place imaginable on the human body. We had a fantastic time and loved every minute of the trip. I think the best part of the whole experience was watching every male on the island learing at Kim in her bikini. I don't know, it just made me feel good. I took every opportunity to grope her in public and then smile at whichever guy was eye f'n her.

To our future of unknown…

I’ve had these two quotes saved in my favorites for a long time and today I felt they were appropriate to comment on both from Agnes Demille:

The past few months our little world has been filled with a lot of unknown.  Deciding whether to take new job opportunities or not, to sell our home or to stay, and of course the big one preparing for a little one to join our crew!  There is so much to think about and plan for and hoping we make the right decisions for everything… But is there really a right or wrong decision?  I think being with the most amazing man, husband and my best friend making these important life decisions not so hard.  Actually all of our unknowns seem quite fun and exciting!

Welcome to our page! Thanks for stopping by to see what we currently have going on in our lives. Roger & Kimberly were wed on June 11th, 2010 at La Caille Restaurant in Salt Lake City, Ut. We have two awesome dogs (Thunder & Zoey), that we take everywhere with us. They love long car rides and hanging out with us as much as possible.  That being said, we do offer a lot of good to this world. By purchasing a scooter in the fall of 2010 the Coleman's officialy went "green." Now that we are contributing so much to society and mother earth we decided it should be time to bring in another member to the Coleman team. We found out we were pregnant on November 5th, 2010 and it was the most exciting news we could have heard! We decided to keep the sex a surprise, and even though the mental abuse from the grandmothers was great for not finding out, we have stayed strong. This is just a basic update until we get this blogging thing down. Peace, love,  and happiness. -R&K
